404 Logger© is a Perl script that lets you trap and track bad file requests that result in a 404 error. Trap and record invalid links, including the source! Results can be EMailed to you every day a 404 error occurs automatically. Requires Apache/UNIX server. This easily-installed Perl script gives you the following features:

Simple installation with good documentation.
Error counts are stored and retrieved privately, and with some care, securely.
Records source of the invalid link - even if its not on your site!
User sees only your custom 404 error page.
